I Found Nemo!

But, lucky me, I found the nemo!

Rasanya? Pastilah deg-degan. Tetapi, gue sangat-sangat puas.

Next time, I will never ever touch anything I see in the sea anymore! I promise!

Hey Beach! (Part II)

Hola!

Everybody was literally really happy. That was one of the best moments in my life! Beach and reggae music? Equals heaven! Rasanya problem hilang sejenak hehe.

Indahnya nggak terkatakan. I love Mawun soooo much! Haha. Tapi kami malah ketawa-tawa setelah selamat. Gimana nggak ketawa, ternyata celana temen gue robek setelah hampir terseret ombak! Hahahahaha. Untunglah gue bawa celana jeans untuk dipinjamkan serta memakai celana renang, jadi temen gue nggak perlu pulang naik motor tanpa memakai celana! :D

I never wish to have lighter skin. I have always loved my tan exotic skin.

Mawun Beach, I'm in love.

Hey, Beach! (Part I)

Hello! I'm back to work! Ditambah, gue lagi aktif-aktifnya ngegym, jadi waktu ngeblog jadi tergilas sama kegiatan-kegiatan rutin gue. But, again, gue merasa takut lupa sama apa yang udah gue jalani, so...

Kali ini gue mau cerita betapaaaa gue kangennya sama pantai! Duh, dibanding hiking naik gunung, (I'm not a fan of hiking), gue jauh lebih menggemari pantai! Dibanding sama para travelers kece yang udah menyambangi puluhan pantai-pantai cantik, misalnya seperti travel writer idola gue, Trinity, tentulah pengalaman mengunjungi pantai-pantai cantik gue masih cetek.

Gue mengunjungi Lombok bulan Desember tahun 2014 lalu. Awalnya, gue mengunjungi Bali, which has always been my favorite place. Gue sangat-sangat cinta Bali, sih. I've been in love with Ubud since 2011, the second time I went there. Ya dimulai dari itu lah kali pertama gue mengikuti acara super keren begitu, kerja sama orang-orang asing dari berbagai negara, kemana-mana jalan kaki or naik sepeda (padahal jalanan Ubud itu naik turun!) demi hemat ongkos, and... was secretly in love too! Haha. 8 hari bisa jatuh cinta? Ya, udah kayak di film-film emang lol. That was super fun, so I have always wanted to go back to Bali. Kalau bisa, sih, every year!

Ok, back to Lombok story. Jadi, setelah menghabiskan 3 hari 2 malam bersama teman-teman di Bali untuk benar-benar sekedar having fun, gue dan teman gue, mengunjungi Gili Trawangan! I loved Gili Trawangan. Airnya sih yang super cantik yang bikin betah. Tapi, sialnya, gue salah milih penginapan!

So, benar-benar gelap kalau di malam hari. We tried once, though. Amazing, wasn't it? Duh, nggak lagi-lagi!

My Travelling Life At the Moment

(I was writing this part during my trip using train to Malang from Jakarta, March 10th, 2015)

HELLO! I am on my way to Malang by train at the moment and dunno what to do because I have no friends to chat haha. Gue memutuskan buat sum up my journey in recent past times aja deh.

   SINGAPORE (PART II)
Actually I should have written my story about my journey to Singapore with my sister like a year ago! Can you imagine how busy (or sok busy) I am? Soo yg bikin gue sempet absen ngelanjutin blog gue was I was really busy looking for a job that time and finally once I got accepted, berbagai kesibukan langsung melanda gue. Jadi, sempet vakum utk ngelanjutin, deh. But, I still need to carry on the story because I don't wanna forget my journey yg sangat sangatlah mengesankan dan membahagiakan ehe.
The gokil part was waktu kita bawa 1 ransel kita yg berisi barang-barang yg kita butuhkan selama di USS and it turned out to be such annoying! The better part was when we found out that USS gave the visitors a free locker for rent, yet it was only for limited time. I guess cuman buat sekitar 30 menit, yaa. What was even more gokil adalah tiap 30 menit, setelah kami menikmati satu permainan, kami harus lari-lari to take our stuffs out from the locker. If we were late? We had to pay haha. Kebayang ngga berapa kali kami lari-larian untuk ngambil ransel kami? However, USS made us happy as cray! My most favorite ride was Transformers! Aaahh itu keren banget, asik parah. I think I'll have another trip to Singapore around June this year, and without any doubt, I'll go back for the USS!

KILUAN BAY, LAMPUNG (March 2014 - too bad I don't remember the exact date)
I had this trip with my former office mates at English First. As I recall, I went there with Lita, Kuri (Lita's friend), Agnes, Yuli, and his brother, Jack, Sly, Leslie, Paul, and Lewis! Tapi kami joined an open trip from Travollution gitu, jadi yg ikut nggak cuman kami aja. Waktu itu hari Jumat, jadi kami berangkat langsung from our office after work. We took ARIMBI bus and you know what, di tengah-tengah perjalanan, my bule friends drank whisky yaelah hahaha. They were also freaked out when they almost couldn't find any beer in Pelabuhan Merak lol. Long story short, the journey was fine, perfectly fine, I could say. We luckily got to meet the lovely dolphins!!! Beberapa orang bilang kalau agak susah untuk bertemu sama para lumba-lumbanya nowadays, but since I know I'm a lucky if it's about travelling, we saw the dolphins! Yg paling menakjubkan selain pertemuan dengan lumba-lumba adalah naik jukung pagi-pagi, lalu menyaksikan matahari terbit di tengah-tengah laut yg kalem aaah it was so wonderdul! Indahnya sampai sekarang masih membekas. Another place in Kiluan Bay that we visited was the Lagoon. Agak sedikit tracking menanjak utk mencapai Lagoon, but it was worth it. More surprise was when we were at the boat to go back to the dermaga. Lautnya lagi jelek banget dan perahu kami gonjang-ganjing nggak karuan sampai miring sekali lalu menyiram orang-orang yg lagi tiduran! That was a little bit awful because we were on the boat for like 3 hours. But, the rest were fine. We were safe and happy. You could find the photos of my trip collection in my instagram account: esratambunan. I don't have any photos of it to upload on my phone currently.

How Am I?

Life has been cruel to me recently. I am afraid of speaking to anybody because whatever I say just makes them hate me even more. I can't stand pain by those words stabbed to my little sensitive heart. By that, I let myself be blamed for something I cry over.

Why should I blame myself for being too sensitive? Why don't this mean life fix their attitude towards me? I am tired of pretending to be just fine while the fact is I am not at all. I am 24, and a 24-year-old-human is okay to cry because of being torn and depressed.

What's not okay is to hurt people and let them ripped and drowned in tears; letting them cry over words like this.

People need love. I do need, too.

Life, please stop bugging me.

Surat Untuk Pak Bowo

OMG. I wrote this and saved it into the draft. Well, I know people have forgotten the open letter rumor several months ago. But, I think I still need to post it. So...

Good day, sir. I am writing to you here because I don't know how to post it in on tumblr and I don't want to find out how to either. So, I let my soul writes here and I hope someday, somehow, you'll be able to read this open letter to you.

I'm surprised to see many people are concerned about you and they want to spare some time to write to you. Either you're willing to read it or not, (well, actually you'll be just fine when you read those letters) those letters still come up everyday. I 'm interested in expressing my thoughts about you because I'm also interested in your exceptional character. I mean, look at you! You definitely love yourself and you've got great ambition to be the greatest person in my lovable country, Indonesia.
Dear, Mr. Prabowo, your life must be hard. You know; there is a metaphor in this world about an egg and boiling water. This raw egg used to be soft and mild before it is boiled in a boiling water. When it comes up from the hot water, the egg becomes cooked and no longer soft. All I can think about this metaphor someway, is you. Well, not exactly only you. It's me and you. I know how it feels like. I can still smell the blessedness of my childhood. It's a great fortune for me. I was just young and happy. I didn't know what pain was. I only cried when I wanted some snacks that my dad banned to be eaten by his kids. When I grew older and more mature, I knew pain. Maybe it's not as painful as yours, but I felt pain too. I cried several times; trying to fix my heart, but it didn't heal quickly like I've always wanted. I became that cooked egg; I'm no longer soft and mild. I was angry with what happened in my life. Again, I'm no longer that soft raw egg. And now, I looked at my reflection on you. You are exactly just like me. You didn't want to lose because losing is pain. Yea, I know because when I knew what pain was and how exactly that hurt me so bad, I unconsciously pulled the strength out of myself. It was great sometimes because I don't fear, but do you know when I am too strong I hurt people around me too?

I am writing to you in a very painful condition right now. I have a big problem and I start to feel pain as well. It's just again, suddenly I remember you.

Mr. Prabowo, you're not alone. I am also great and smart; without intending to exaggerate or show off, and I also have so many plans for Indonesia. I want - really really want - Indonesia to become a very great country. I don't want the money. I have no heart to see some people begging for food on the street while I am here; looking for the way how I should I spend my money for. However, I can't see myself become a president, rule our country. I am a self-centered woman. Maybe not always, but I can't lose. I don't want even to start as a candidate. I never look up to it. Wondering why? I am that cooked egg. I still figure out how to be a well cooked delicious egg.

We're just the same. Mind to make it happen together? Don't worry, I can't lose too.

Hello, Singapore!

OMG! It's been ages since I haven't posted anything on my blog! It's dusty everywhere haha. I feel bad to myself, tho! I shouldn't be sok busy! Ok, gue sebenenrnya mau menceritakan pengalaman perjalanan gue yg menyenangkan bersama adek gue di Singapore, last March 2014. Oh, well, it's October already. Basi dan telat banget ga sih? Hm!

Ok, I'm gonna try to remember what I did with sister in Singapore and here we go..

Gue sama adek gue, Ester, pergi ke Singapore setelah melewati 2 hari yg menyenangkan di Malaysia. Tidur di airport yg super duper dingin, jalan kaki jauh banget karena salah turun di stasiun monorail, dan menikmati wisata kuliner di Kuala Lumpur, sooo we continued our journey to Singapore by using train. Kita berangkat pukul 23.00 I guess? Padahal gue udh pake jaket, pashmina, kaos kaki, masker, tapi tetap aja kedinginan! Huh.
Ber 10 cukup rame tapi ngga berisik. Seru juga karena kami ketemu orang-orang baru. Dari Ghana, Chile, dan India! Too bad, I forget their names-_- Because we rarely stayed at the hostel to have a conversation. Kami kebanyakan keluar dan keliling-keliling, right. Malem aja kami masih belanja di Mustafa Center dan sampai hostel sekitar jam 1 LOL.

Ok, so, hari pertama gue dan adek gue langsung keliling Singapore untuk pergi ke tempat-tempat yg must visit banget di sana. Of course you know, Merlion Statue, was one of the places that I mentioned above. I'm in love with MRT! I wish Indonesia could have one someday (AMEN). Tiket MRT kami beli di stasiun MRT Bugis ya kalau ngga salah namanya, untuk 3-day-pass, berhubung kami emang berada di Singapore selama 3 hari. Jadi dapet kartu gitu. Lupa harganya. Again, I'm sorry huhu.

Me and my sister in Merlion Statue
Sehabis puas-puasin menikmati pemandangan dari dekat Merlion Statue, we went to Orchard Road. Di sana, sumpah ya, gue sama adek gue bener-bener jalan di sekitaran Orchard Road yg luas parah buat nyari es krim Uncle!! Dan itu MELELAHKAN BANGET! Our feet were hurt so much till we barely could sleep at night! Susah juga nemuin tuh es krim. Sekalinya nemu jaraknya beda 10 meter doang. Kami beli es krimnya 2x. Emang enak, sih. Murah pula cuman 1 SGD. Tapi selain karena enak dan murah, kami ngga mau sia-sia nyari tu es krim sampai capek banget, jadi beli 2x hahah.

Uncle ice cream FTW (that day)! My fave is the mango one.
Ice-cream mission is accomplished! Ngga nanggung-nanggung dia mah, minta oleh-olehnya!
